Utility Providers
Welcome to the Vail Valley and Eagle County Colorado Below is a list of local utility companies for assistance in setting up or ending service should you be selling your property.
Prior to closing you will want to contact the appropriate company to have your service transferred/terminated or started, effective the day of closing. The transfer of water and sewer is handled by the title company as they need to confirm payment of the last bill. To protect your personal information the electric, gas, telephone & cable companies require the purchaser/seller to contact them directly.
Do not turn off the gas and electric service to the property early as serious damage could result if heat or electric service were interrupted.
Remember you should obtain insurance coverage for your new home. If you are buying a condominium or town home, the Association will have a master policy, but make sure you are covered for areas the HOA does not and for your personal property/liability. We always suggest starting with a company you have a relationship with but do contact us for a list of local providers as they understand our market.
